Washington, Nov 10 (Reuters) - the United States said on Friday it was delaying sanctions against rusal, EN+ and Gaz PAO for nearly four weeks as key shareholders in the companies work on plans to cut their holdings.
The us Treasury had given Oleg Deripaska, a Russian oligarch, a December 12 deadline to cut his stake in the three companies, but the latest statement said the deadline had been pushed back to January 7, 2019.
The statement explained that "EN+, rusal and GAZ are in the process of corporate management adjustment, which may have a significant impact on the control of these sanctioned enterprises."
